About the Role
Nani’s Esthetics is seeking a committed Nail Technician who shares our vision and mission. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in a team environment, uphold high productivity and demonstrate strong work ethics and high-quality standards.
Employment Details
- Schedule: 30-40 hours per week
- Salary: $15.50 to $16.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Probation Period: 90 days, with eligibility for benefits after this period

Primary Responsibilities
- Nail Services
- Deliver quality manicures and pedicures, including removing old polish, cleaning nails, shaping, pushing back cuticles and applying new polish.
- Apply artificial nails (Acrylic/Gel Sculpting).
- Recommend nail designs and art, provide nail care advice and address client questions.
- Safety and Hygiene
- Be knowledgeable about nail diseases, safety procedures and service techniques.
- Sanitize all tools and equipment between uses.
- Keep workstations organized and supplies well-stocked.
- Customer Service
- Greet and welcome clients, build rapport and encourage repeat visits.
- Offer quality hand and foot massages.
- Confirm and manage client appointments.
- Professional Development
- Stay updated on the latest nail products, trends and techniques.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Be prepared to work extended hours when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma and training from a recognized beauty or cosmetology school
- Experience: 2+ years of experience preferred
- Licensing: CANS (Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia) license required. Foreign workers must pass the CANS Provincial Licensure Exam to work in Nova Scotia.
